My Background

I have very broad professional experience that spans various industries. I started my career in 1995 in the banking industry in a Commercial Lending Training program with LaSalle National Bank/ABN Amro in Chicago.

In 1998, I moved to New York to continue in the banking sector with a finance company called Heller Financial which was later purchased by GE Capital in 2001. During my tenure with GE and Heller, I was responsible for generating new business with private equity firms, managing an existing portfolio of loans to appx 30 companies and managing a team of 5 portfolio managers/analysts.

In 2004, I decided to make a career and life change. I left GE, spent a month traveling through Europe and then pursued my passion of wine. I worked for a season in the tasting room of a local Long Island winery, Peconic Bay, soaking up knowledge from the general manager, tasting room manager, vineyard manager and winemaker. My passion and knowledge continued to grow about the industry. At that time, Southern Wine & Spirits was starting it's business in New York State and I started selling wine to retail stores in Manhattan. Although it was a great learning experience, my goal was to move into management. I accepted an internal opportunity as a Marketing Manager, as the day-to-day point person with Southern's strategic suppliers.

In August 2008, I moved to Rochester to live with my now husband and started a new career in financial services with Mutual of Omaha. Since then, I have built a reputable investment and insurance business, changing companies to New York Life in March 2012.  My focus is working with small business owners to protect their business and "pay themselves first", something many small business owners think of last!

My interests includes travel, watching my beloved Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers and spending quality time with my husband, Jason, and two boys, Max and Nathan.
